The sudden loud noise startled Lucinda, who was already feeling guilty, causing her to awkwardly cover her face. Nathan instantly held her in his arms and gently patted her back to offer comfort.

“Is it true? Are you really pregnant?”
Graham gritted his teeth and glaring at her.
“Lucinda, what did you promise me before? Is this how you keep to your word?”
Atticus let out a cough, trying to diffuse the tension.
“Well, isn’t that some fantastic news! I have grandchildren on the way! Congratulations, sweetheart! Graham, it’s been ages since you and Violeta tied the knot, and she hasn’t gotten pregnant yet. You can’t go yelling at Lucinda.”
A blush tinted Violeta’s cheeks as she bashfully lowered her head.
Graham remained silent. He couldn’t exactly scold Lucinda in front of Atticus at this particular moment.
After giving Graham a piece of his mind, Atticus shifted his attention to his other two sons and remarked, “And you two, still haven’t found yourselves any girlfriends. When will I become a grandfather? You lot are a bunch of slackers!”
Hilliard and Cyrus hung their heads low, continuing to eat in silence.
Hilliard wasn’t interested in getting into a relationship. He preferred to keep his distance and not get involved with women.

Cyrus, on the other hand, had distanced himself from Atticus ever since his forced engagement with Melody. They had barely exchanged a word since then.
The Shaw family had plans to reveal Noelle’s true identity soon.
Cyrus had to bide his time until then, and then figure out a way to win over Atticus and seek his support for his engagement to Noelle.
Each person had their own thoughts swirling in their heads.
Breaking the heavy silence, Nathan turned his gaze to Atticus and said, “Sir, I want to marry Lucinda first and have the wedding in a few weeks. We can make the babies’ news public after the wedding feast.”
“Well… You certainly should start considering marriage. But isn’t it a bit rushed to have the wedding in just a few weeks?” Atticus queried.
Under the table, Nathan gripped Lucinda’s hand tightly, and they exchanged glances. He then said to Atticus, “Don’t worry, sir. I’ll devote all my attention to preparing for the wedding. I’m not doing this because of the babies. I simply want to give her the most incredible wedding!”
“If that’s the case, then…” A joyful expression spread across Atticus’s face.
“I disagree.”
Before Atticus could finish his sentence, a sharp voice cut him off.
All eyes turned to Graham as he stood in opposition.
“Nathan, don’t think our family will simply hand her over to you in marriage. Even if Lucinda never gets married, we can still support her and both her babies,” Graham warned.
“That’s enough!” Atticus roared with a grim face.
